My focus as a theatre maker/director is on making work that gives form to the psychological and physical heart of a story

 

My method encourages and supports actors and creatives in a rigorous creative process, ensuring we ground the story in truthfulness and playfulness whatever the genre

 

My ultimate goal is to ensure audiences watching my work feel involved and  can resonate with the story in front of them

I always look for ways to involve the audience as actively as possible in the experience

 

As well as working on plays I have also made work in a variety of different community settings.

 

I treat anyone I work with as an artist and have worked with artists from many backgrounds and communities.  

 

I always focus on the skills & experiences of the performers in front of me & work collaboratively to develop performance with shared ownership of a story.

My work has been powerfully impacted by my experiences of making theatre with marginalised groups and it is their stories that fire me up to make theatre
